Changes to classes in 2021

Carriage Driving:

Grand National Carriage Pleasure Driving Working Junior Exhibitor 17 & Under Finals class has been added.

Separate Multiples classes will not be offered. Multiples will show with Singles in Single/Multiple classes.

Grand National Driven Dressage Training Level Test B has been added. Driven Dressage is now a Championship based on percentage high scores from the three Driven Dressage Grand National classes offered.

Dressage:

No Levels above 4th will be offered.

The two Musical Freestyle Finals classes in Dressage have been combined into Grand National Dressage Musical Freestyle Finals for Training through 4th Level.

The two Western Dressage Musical Freestyle Finals classes have been combined into Grand National Western Dressage Musical Freestyle Finals for Basic and Above.

Equitation: 

Grand National Western Horsemanship 17 & Under Finals has been added.

Fitting & Showmanship:

Grand National Fitting & Showmanship Adult Finals class has been added.

Hunter:

In Low Working Hunter and Working Hunter, Open and Amateur/Junior Exhibitor now have separate classes leading to Championships.

Grand National Working Hunter III Open and Grand National Working Hunter III Amateur/Junior Exhibitor have been added.

The Grand National Working Hunter Amateur/Junior Exhibitor Finals class has been deleted.

Hunter Pleasure: 

Grand National Hunter Pleasure Amateur Stallion & Gelding, Grand National Hunter Pleasure Ladies Amateur Stallion & Gelding and Grand National Hunter Pleasure Youth Stallion & Gelding classes have been split by horse height into:

 Grand National Hunter Pleasure Amateur Stallion & Gelding 15.1 & Over
 Grand National Hunter Pleasure Amateur Stallion & Gelding Under 15.1
 Grand National Hunter Pleasure Ladies Amateur Stallion & Gelding 15.1 & Over
 Grand National Hunter Pleasure Ladies Amateur Stallion & Gelding Under 15.1
 Grand National Hunter Pleasure Youth Stallion & Gelding 15.1 & Over
 Grand National Hunter Pleasure Youth Stallion & Gelding Under 15.1.

 The splits will run in the same session.

In-Hand:

The Grand National Gelding, Mare & Stallion Amateur Finals have been replaced with the following Specialty classes that will lead to a Championship:

Grand National Classic/English/Park In-Hand Amateur
Grand National Hunter In-Hand Amateur
Grand National Western In-Hand Amateur.

These classes will be on Friday Afternoon in the Coliseum.

Parade:

The Parade class has been deleted.

Reining:

Grand National Reining Green Rider Finals, Grand National Reining Green Horse Finals and Grand National Reining Five & Six-Year Old have been deleted. There are opportunities for these horses/riders to show in Reining under the Working Western section.

The Snaffle Bit/Hackamore World Championship will now be for Junior horses only.

One Grand National Freestyle Reining Finals class will be offered for Pros & Non-Pros.

Western Pleasure:

Grand National Western Pleasure Amateur Stallion & Gelding and Grand National Western Pleasure Ladies Amateur Stallion & Gelding have been split by horse height into:

Grand National Western Pleasure Amateur Stallion & Gelding 15.1 & Over
Grand National Western Pleasure Amateur Stallion & Gelding Under 15.1
Grand National Western Pleasure Ladies Amateur Stallion & Gelding 15.1 & Over
Grand National Western Pleasure Ladies Amateur Stallion & Gelding Under 15.

The splits will run in the same session.

Working Western:

This Section contains all the Ranch Rail and Ranch Pleasure classes offered in 2020. The addition of this Section to USEF Morgan rules allows the Show to offer the following:

Grand National Ranch reining Green Rider USEF Pattern 2
Grand National Ranch Reining Green Horse USEF Pattern 6
World Championship Ranch Reining USEF Pattern 5

Changes to Entering and qualifying in 2021

Prior to September 25, 2021: Additional classes may be entered at the original entry fee with no post-entry fees. Note the following:

• The class must be paid for at the time of entry with a credit card,
• The horse must have been properly entered in at least one class in the Show by the closing date,
• The horse must meet the qualification on requirements, and
• The additional classes will not appear in the Show Program.

After September 25, 2021: Additional classes may be entered at the original entry fee plus $150 if the horse or rider has been properly entered in the Show by the closing date (August 24, 2021). The horse or rider must meet the qualification requirements and class must be entered at least two hours before the session.

If a horse is unable to come to the Show, another horse may be entered in its place, provided the same classes are entered. The $50 post-entry fee will be applied.

Classical Dressage classes will be run over two days (First Saturday and Sunday). Rides per day may be limited, so enter early.

Entries in Western Dressage at the Introductory, Basic and Level 1 must qualify by the horse/rider combination riding in a Western Dressage class at that level.

There is no qualification for Specialty In-Hand Amateur or Working Western Horsemanship. Other than the qualification for Western Dressage, the classes not requiring qualification remain the same as 2020.
