In memory of Alex Mooney, the American Morgan Horse Educational Charitable Trust (AMHECT) will award a minimum of $5,000 annually for undergraduate Academic Scholarships and/or Professional Development.

Criteria and the Application Form can be found at the link below. The application deadline is June 30, 2023.  Recipients will be notified by September 1. The winner or winners will be recognized at the Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show® in October.

Applicants for undergraduate Academic Scholarships must have, or have had, involvement with the Morgan horse.  Extra consideration will be given to those who support Cystic Fibrosis research, families and patients, and/or those who demonstrate community service on behalf of Cystic Fibrosis.  The awards will be given to students entering or currently enrolled in accredited Colleges, Universities, Community Colleges, Trade or Technical Schools.

Those who wish to donate to the Alex Mooney Memorial Scholarship fund, may donate by check or credit card through the AMHA Office.
